I was in 4th grade. I remember the teacher putting on the tv and I was like "woahhhh these graphics are almost as good as the matrix" and everyone in the class started acting out and going BOOOOOM! BOOOOM! and jumping around and the teacher had to get some other teacher to explain that it was a very very very bad thing and that it really happened and wasn't fake. I remember being really upset when I couldn't watch Simpsons that night.

I was in the third grade and my parents rushed into my class room and grabbed me and ran home. They were like "were fuckin under attack" and I started freaking out and crying thinking we were actively getting invaded or something. But I had off school for the week.

Wake up for school. No cartoons on that morning, only news of some gay building being hit in Jew York.

Went to Disneyland in October of 2001. After the attacks airlines, parks and hotels were offering huge discounts because demand dried up. Parks were so empty it took more time to walk through the empty lineup areas then to wait in the actual lines for rides. Shit was great.

I was on 8th grade American History when I found out. Appropriate. I was an edgelord back then, so I was being cringe about how we deserved it, it’s just an office building, etc.

Everybody got all fake patriotic and stared worshiping the government and stared saying they wanted all arabs and their kids dead and tortured and that was the only time ever in modern America you were allowed to be semi-racist. I say semi because you could say you wanted arabs assrapped and their kids fingers cut off and what ever else sadistic but the second you said Sandnigger or Dune Coon the same patriotards instantly turned into SJWs and would try to police you language like a bunch of little bitches. I knew at that point America would never be a serious country and Americans would always fall for TV bullshit no matter how absurd. They wanted to police my language and I hated America for that not that I was ever a fan of arabs but I did like seeing all these American flag drapped coffins coming home because that's one less fuckwad to police my speech.

Sunny and perfect weather. I was 10 miles from the tower. The skyline was eerie with black smoke that hung in the air, two pillars of black smoke and dust. I was watching tv when the first tower dropped. The tower appeared to just turn to smoke. Everyone was quiet and in shock. People lost their parents. With all the firefighters in manhattan dead or injured the other boroughs moved in, the surrounding suburban fire departments moved in to cover the five boroughs as other house fires and emergencies continued to happen as normal. Very sad and sobering day. The smoke hung on the horizon for days, two pillars of smoke.

So was I. Early 30s back then. This board doesn't just consist of teenagers you know. We old guys probably outnumber you young bucks.

7th grade. Lived in Ca. Woke up to watch something and instead the first plane had just hit. Told my parents. Then we watched the second plane hit. Went to school. Every class just played the news for like 3 weeks and everyone was somber and also full of hate for Muslims

Shock, rest of the day was hazy, everyone was on edge. My University cancelled classes because at the time those terrorists could be anywhere. No one knew the scale of the "attack". You have to remember that back then trust in Gov and media was alot higher. So most of us thought we were legit under attack, but it just turned out to be an inside job.

I was in middle school, they put it on our class 10 inch cctv thing. we were smart enough to know it was an attack but we were stupid enough to have no idea about the outside world so all us kids started blaming mexico for some reason. And I got distracted and lost my new adidas backpack that day and my mom got pissed

We didnt really know that immediately. Immense shock. Blood drives. Rescue teams. People came from all over the nation to inhale toxic aerosolized concrete. Followed by the 3 year clean up.

my family is iranian background. I was 13 and didn't know what the WTC even were. My mom woke me up from bed to tell me someone has flown planes into the WTC and I had no idea what they were so I went back to sleep. I woke up a bit later and went into the living room to see my parents both staring at the screen in a somber mood. It was crazy to see planes flying into these huge buildings on replay, it looked like a movie. We had turned on American news and they were blaming Saddam Hussein and I remember my dad saying no way this looks like the work of Bin Laden. He took my to school and he was very quiet the whole drive. I think I asked him what was going on and he just answered "something very bad". All the teachers at school were freaking out over it.

I was 14, it happened around 10pm our time, mum woke me up crying in the morning after she put the morning news on. By the time I got to school we heard a second plane had hit. I was very liberal back then and came out with comments like "the US kills people in foreign countries all the time that they arn't even at war with, they kinda deserved it" (Still somewhat feel this way to this day, with the exception of loss of American lives)

World changed forever, we have been a downwards slope ever since.
