Not sure. Can't even say if it is real. But probably they are gonna say that as a federal agency, they aren't subject to state laws, so if a servicewoman in Texas or something wants to get an abortion, the DoD will provide it.

From what little I have read they only cover abortions for rape, incest, and the safety of the mother's life, so this would only contravene state law in really extreme cases. I can't see there will be much of an issue there, honestly. I reckon most states will allow abortion in those cases anyway, but if they don't then the DoD will make it happen anyway.

I guess they could supposedly bring in people to do abortions in those states, or contract local entities to do it. In that case it would be a real big deal. But I'm not even sure that'll happen.

Military basses have always acted on federal law not local state laws. So it doesnt matter

But it will be interesting to see if any states try to enforce laws on millitary bases or try to kick them out.

The Civil War technically started when South Carolina left the Union and a man made federal fort in Charleston Bay refused to vacate saying since the Union built the land/fort it was still union territory.

The South Carolina State Militia gave fort Sumter 48 hours to vacate, the Union didn't leave so the southerners fired.

But there had already been skirmishes around the country at that point.

So if there becomes some showdown at a military's base, say Texas tells fort Bragg to GTFO and the feds refuse to leave. That could get interesting.
