Btw, it's 8 inches a day now. But think about the geometry of the reservoir; it gets narrower the deeper they go. Each next inch of water represents a smaller volume of water than the previous inch. The rate of drop is accelerating. By next week it will probably be 10 inches a day, and after that, it will only continue to get worse.
