Hydrogen changing the world

According to the economist the hidrogen will be the new fuel, with the russia vs ukraine war the world is slowly being forced to look for new means of fueling, we will soon have all type of vehicles

Been hearing that for a long time. Who owns the Economist by the way?

>Look retards everywhere
How much energy is needed to produce hydrogen ?
Shittone user, shitton.

They will need to use it for jets the energy density is simply too good.

Hydrogen is like selling gasoline for 16 dollars per gallon. Money is still king when picking energy sources so it won't be widely used if cheaper alternatives exist.

>economist
>hydrogen
This is WEF commie bullshit.
just like offshore wind farms, solar farms, and electric cars.

As a Mason and concrete worker this pic infuriates me

THIS
it will be just another reason, why they will increase energy prices
it will accomplish literally nothing - because climate change is just another narrative
but i agree, this propably will be the next new thing, because it sounds stupid enough

This time is real trust me dude
Jews but this war will make it happen this time
Little less than petrol I bet
People will find their own ways they just need the inspiration
Been there as a concrete finisher
>just used it on your favor

>Little less than petrol I bet
>You take an average of 5 kilowatt hours to refine [one gallon of] gasoline
>How much electricity is needed to make hydrogen? A completely efficient electrolysis system would require 39 kWh of electricity to produce 1 kg of hydrogen

They have been working on hydrogen for a long time. Its actually a really interesting fuel. There are several problems, its extremely volatile, way more explosive then even gasoline (though this has been solved to some degree with pig iron pellets). As far as effieciency goes, its a pretty good way to store electrical power and transport it. Hydrogen is really just another way to convert electrical energy into a transportable fuel, and achieve the same sort combustion cycles as gasoline (meaning fast cars, quick acceleration). Obviously if you can directly use your electrical energy, thats great, but hydrogen provides a very simple closed loop system for storing electrical energy, at good effiency rates. I think hydrogen will really come into its own as the "gasoline of space exploration" allowing spacers to create a liquid combustible fuel from electricity. The fuel cells will be sealed systems, that go between water and hydrogen.

Here on Earth its really not viable, for several reasons, many of which have already been mentioned. We should continue to explore hydrogen as a fuel however, it could provide answers in places where there is no readily availible fossil fuel.

Stanley Meyer was first.
I want his tech, not globohomos shit for 2103918234942805710394 gazillion $$$$$$$$$$$, resulting in
>MASS DEMOBILISATION

nuclear is the answer

You still need vast amounts of energy to produce the hydrogen, most hydrogen produced now is done within the petrochemical industry. We could use electricity to do it on a bigger scale but where will we get all the power from? Wind and solar memes? Not happening

Agreed
Until humanity invents easier way to get energy then this is only good long term solution.

Hydrogen isn’t an energy source. It’s an energy transfer device. It takes more energy to create and store it than you get back when you burn it.
So it’s absolutely perfect for the Greens, who never once managed to understand the 2nd law of thermogoddammics.

Looks like toyota has the jump on the (((auto industry)))

There are already hydrogen cell refueling stations near me.

Hydrogen is already the fuel of today.
No one understand chemistry or basic physics anymore. No one seems to understand that hydrocarbons are literally the hydrogen we need, that's conveniently bound carbon for easy handling, refinement and trasnportation.

>we already use Hydrogen as a fuel source

hydrogen is completely impractical and is a monkey-wrench they're using to screw up the global economy. These people worship mother earth and want humans to die off.

Meyer's patents have expired. His inventions are now in the public domain, available for all to use without restriction or royalty payment.[13] No engine or vehicle manufacturer has incorporated Meyer's work so far.[14][15]

From wiki. So I guess you could find it somewhere and built it yourself.

Can you make hydrogen powered cars that can drive as far as cars powered by gasoline without a ridiculously large fuel tank?

It really isnt. Gas is the best still.

Toyota is a shit company that's basically oing FUCK ALL for the industry, relative to their massive profits. Toyota would rather toss billions at marketing agencies (literal billions) instead or at engineers, because marketing is the safer investment.
>fuck shityota

>Hydrogen is like selling gasoline for 16 dollars per gallon.
If you had to keep gasoline highly pressurized in steel tanks that could blow up like the fucking Hindenburg when one of the Red Deer vaxxies keels over and t-bones you at 60 mph.

False
EroEi

Dihydrogen monooxide is dangerous as fuck

nuclear with some backup solutions just to account for marketconditions which surely can also occur around running a nuclear powerplant..
that would be the whitest way to do things
