>i suffer in USA
I suffer in USA
What they don't tell you is that USA salary is now split amongst 5 indians.
>$110,000 dollars/year salary in califilthia
So it's over ?
>I can't afford le life in austin bro, fr fr no cap
kek those are all dogshit salaries for a software engi
>and I'm in philly
>t. living like a king
>lives in philly
>able to live anything approaching king-like status
kek good one, user
Unless they are doing some conversion, our average software dev salary is more like 100k
I'm a gov data scientist where we get paid less than private, and even I'm on 100k
remind me not to tip you when you deliver my cheesesteak that I won't eat
Is salary big for anyone with master in business/sales/finance ? (Except wall street and other shit)
EU degrees don't quite translate to US since everybody in EU has one, but you can still do fine most of the time; business CAN be good but often it's just a "didn't know what to pick" major -- personally I dropped out since there's absolutely no reason to go to college for software, it moves too fast for them to keep up and the debt is unereasonable
>odds are your best bet would be, unironically, a software company doing sales, finance, or operations -- then you'll probably get paid on par with devs (or better if you have a commission deal and are good)
in addition to that, now that everything is remote, the location is not an issue at all, so you could probably find a US software company gig and work from france, BUT not being a US citizen you'll be excluded from any company that has federal contracts (which is quite a lot, for better or worse)
No useful software was ever made in France
>not being a US citizen you'll be excluded from any company that has federal contracts
worked remotely for such company, not a citizen, greetings from Spain
honhonhon
>ffmpeg
nice! good to know; it probably depends the department honestly, defense in particular does not fuck around with it (but you might be able to be in the company yet not work on that particular contract, so size of company might be involved at that point)
>Softly aware
Why
WHY
Just look at rivers and camofires
>Those top 3
Tell me about the jews, why do they pay their software devs so much?
>tfw work at a FAANG(sre/product sme)
>live in rural appalachia
feel like a king some days.
I agree we pay software devs way too much just so they can add 2 new useless features to an app while getting rid of features everyone uses like the dislike button
It's the epitome of make-work, and the reason why every piece of software inevitably worse over time, as once it's "perfected," updates can only make it more convoluted and laborious to use
We have a big shortage in workers while our high tech industry is thriving.
>defense in particular does not fuck around with it
and that's a good thing, imagine outsourcing defense contracts to pajeets
What the fuck anons, I'm being shafted!
>he does it for free
