This was during a class break. Here's how the conversation went:
>Don't you think certain people can be different by nature, like some are taller than others?
Yes of course!
>And that also applies to intelligence, right? Like, Einstein was naturally gifted.
Yes, that's true.
>But when we use the word "nature," we're really talking about genetics. So Einstein was genetically gifted in terms of intelligence.
Yes, well, environment is also an important factor, but genetics do play a role.
>But ethnicity is genetic, isn't it?
...No, it's more complicated than that.
>If ethnicity isn't genetic, how come people of different races produce mixed race babies?
You're trying to do this thing where you categorize people by putting them in boxes. It's a very black and white worldview which doesn't account for the nuance of human experience.
>But how can 23andme tell me my ancestry if ethnicity isn't genetic?
23andme is nothing more than fun trivia. If you think it can tell you anything meaningful, you've just fallen victim to their marketing.
>So just to confirm, you don't think ethnicity is genetic.
That's right.
Verbatim how the conversation went. Keep in mind this is a seemingly very intelligent girl (high caste, high IQ, English ancestry), which is actually kind of nice because most of my classes are full of sickening brown people. I'm taking a French class with her and she picks up the language remarkably quickly. Yet she has no problem not only denying reality, but doing so in the most retarded way possible. In another back-and-forth we had she tried telling me "overpopulation" was the cause of microplastic pollution in the environment.
>inb4 why even attempt to discuss this with a female you autist
She takes pride in being strong, independent etc. so I spring these on her for amusement. There's fuck all to do during these summer class breaks anyway.
Does anyone have advice for situations like these? How can I save her?
