It's sure sounding like that at this point.
So is NY just going to ignore the Supreme Court ruling and continue it's current gun laws?
Civil war 2.0 will be sparked by state vs. fed.
Nee Amsterdam may even try and succeed before Teyhas!
Supremacy Clause.
When there is conflict between a state law and the Constitution, the Constitution wins.
Every time. No exceptions. Ever.
the fed won't do shit, it will be local sheriffs.
In case you forgot Daca ruling means the president can do unconstitutional things for like 10 years, because he must still follow procedures to stop the unconstitutional program as if it was legal.
He can just not enforce the court's outcome.
theres already a tri-city nigger war between albany schenectady and troy. concealed nog ryderz could be dangerous
Yeah but authorities in NY are making statements that they're going to arrest open carriers anyway. I don't think they care about the supremacy clause.
Maura Healey has also announced she won't change how Massachusetts works either.
*concealed carriers
I live in rural NY. Not taking my guns. It will be like when they tried to reduce clips to 7 bullets. The cops just laughed and said not but use that law to put criminals away longer. They left citizens alone.
The executive branch is tasked with enforcing the law, which means Biden would have to enforce the Supreme Court's ruling upon liberal states.
Of course, he just won't do it and people who carry and get caught in these states (except for criminals) will just get locked up.
nobody gives a shit, do it anyway. put the fear of god back in these commie faggots.
an armed society is a polite society.
How does one enforce a ruling that negates a law? If they try to enforce the law, then the courts will just through it out and bill the DA for time wasted.
throw*
i need to go to bed soon
Are these threads getting nuked? I looked earlier and there were like 6 but I didn't have the time then to really browse. Now this is the only one and no offense OP but it's shit.
Dont dems hate state laws ans love fed?
Abortion anyone!!!
The ruling doesn't require "enforcement." It just says that the laws currently enforced are unconstitutional. Any conviction based on these laws will just get thrown out on appeal.
They will have to pay damages to everyone they falsely arrest. And every criminal case they try to make around it will get thrown out.
>arrest open carrier
>open carrier gets convicted
>appeals to higher court
>higher court follows supreme court ruling
>open carrier sues state
>open carrier becomes rich
>open carrier buys more guns
but they ruled that permits are constitutional (even though they are not) so you still need to apply and recieve the permit to be "legal" by NY state law, right?
Then those open carriers ought to be ready to use those irons, pardner
The problem is nobody gets arrested for being denied an unrestricted carry permit. I suppose the appealable harm would be when someone gets denied and carries anyway. But then you have the same problem where at best the ruling only relieves that individual and the states will continue their rebellion.
That process could take years or a decade even.
