If you do recall, there was a pandemic going on (I don't care whether you think it was fake, real, or whatever). Biden and the democrats spent the whole year urging everyone to vote from home. While Trump urged everyone to vote in person and not fear the China virus, etc.
I think postal votes definitely helped Biden win because it made it much easier for people to vote. It allowed for people to be easily mobilized and the atmosphere created by the media and Trump radicalized a lot of voters who usually wouldn't vote. If you know anything about US politics, the democrats always get more votes than Republicans. It's been a general rule since Reagen.
