It's chicken soup with matzo ball dumplings/kreplach. Sometimes jokingly called jewish penicillin cause it's quite good if you have a cold.

Is that what that is? I was about to call cringe for choosing dumplings over noodles, but now I'm mad for feeling deceived thinking it was chicken soup. If we're gonna talk Jew food though. Anyone tried latkes? I made them sinful by stuffing them with bacon

I'd say the addition of the matzo balls is what makes it distinctively jewish. But yeah a lot of ashkenazi food is very much just Eastern European food (borscht, kasha etc.)
