Summary of the current Russian economic situation: >import: dead >export: high, but: >rubble is "strong" so government revenue significantly down (from -25% to -50%) >budget surplus, but: >only because of a significant decrease in government spending (i.e. cuts, i wonder what was cut) >after SWIFT ban on Sberbank, reintroduction of some capital controls (you can't get foreign currency anymore), but: >CB is desperately trying to weaken rubble by lowering interest rates to boost revenue and kickstart the currently dead economy >speaking of which: commercial economy is pretty much dead right now, it's coasting off of pre-existing inventory, and reserves being injected into it >despite inflation, drop of demand: bizzare situation where prices have increased and yet the demand has dropped; although this has arguably led to a slow-down of inflation, and even a price drop of some products one of the most peculiar turn of events is the price drop for laptops, GPUs etc.
the explanation is that demand, especially for such products, has absolutely cratered (people are not buying anything right now, they try to be content with what they have and put off purchases for the future), while vendors are waiting with still some stock, and need liquidity
this low demand is a deflationary characteristic. deflation is worse for the economy than inflation. but this low demand is most likely temporary.
the problem with this is that right now pre-existing stock can be slowly bought by scalpers over time, and when demand returns (most likely by Christmas season, people will also want a piece of normality), there will suddenly be a lot of demand, and very little stock, additionally only provided for by scalpers. outlook: >deflationary trend until late 2022, heavily inflationary trend from late 2022 onward, possibly resulting even in hyperinflation
tldr: the only reason the sanctions are "not doing much" to Russia right now is because Russians are on frugal survival-mode in overdrive rn
sisters...day one hundred and...i dont even know anymore
we still havent taken kyiv, we still havent killed zelensky, we still havent beaten nato, we still haven't taken kharkiv, or odessa, we still havent taken the eastern oblasts of which we controlled 95% at the start of the war anyway
how the hell do we realistically turn this around?

According Rybar, the battle for Lisichansk has officially started. Firefights are happening not only in Belaya Gora (literally White Mountain), a Southern suburb of Lisichansk, but also in the Lisichansk Factory of Rubber Products.
nah. EU inflation is purely supply-side, and the supply issues are temporary. while the Russian economy as a whole was simply not ready for what was done to it, it's structurally amputated also to add to this post: ironically, thinking they will be saved by frugality, average Russians are actually killing their economy even harder with ir
Someone needs to shut down this Russian propagandist fast, he's doing a lot of damage to ukrainian morale

Russia: 65000000 killed and wounded, 40000000 prisoners of war, 150000 planes lost, 6000000 tanks and ifv's lost Ukraine: 1000 killed and wounded, no pows because they constantly break free and run back to Ukraine, 2 planes lost, 5 tanks and ifv's lost. Source: moscowtimes.eu and isw

The Ukrainian Strelkov (Arestovich) says that yesterday there were 847 hohols confirmed KIA. The most since the start of the war.
no it is not only supply issues it is also severe socialist and green retardation.... The westernn fags destroying their own indrustries and by doing so we will be also fucked.. Polish bros stop being so retarted just becouse you do not like Russia you should not stop using your brain.
I think, UK wants to fuck both EU and China (and Russia in the process). They see EU as their rivals and also want to worsen situation there to prevent UK from splitting and parts of it going back. China fucks with Canada and Australia, both parts of the commonwealth, and with Australia fucking around in cunts like Indonesia and such. UK was given dominion over baltic states and Poland, I think they have parts of Turkey's institutions under control. They needed Ukrain to create a curtain to shut off land trade routes and create a conflict line, making it EU's headache. Europe is the second big importer of chinese exports. With land routes disrupted, china will have to ship their good by sea through territories with heavy british presencs. Other alternatives for china are their silk road project which goes through more volatile regions or through russian north sea route which is becoming more promissing due to russian investment, including building new nuclear icebreakers. Now they dump more and more weapons there to make conflict as long and painful as it can be. Before that they were actively pushing Zelensky to be more agressive about joining nato and talking about military solution to donbas problem, nukes, etc. No one will tolerate neigboring country saying they are going to make nukes and probably use them against you.
Sad part is that there's no culture of strategic planning here in Russia, our heads just react to whatever is happening around, so they were basically manipulated into position where they had to use force.
US as always will print and loan money.

Chug is turning 4k soon, I'd love to congratulate my frens on this event!

no, it's really only supply issues, i.e. energy cost. this goes into everything, from product delivery to production of concrete. as for green retardation, that's not present here in Poland, and in Germany it's put on-hold as they themselves are returning to coal
in short, Putler wanted euros to freeze, they'll just burn coal instead
oh, and you don't need gas for industrial processing (furnaces). you can easily do initial processing without gas and with coal instead. secondary processing can be done with electricity
You are a moron. Russia will replace all the imports that were sanctioned with goods from China. Deflationary pressure is good now because it will return inflation to a manageable level of 4%. Lower interest rate will also help Russia to restart its civilian production previously outsourced by imports.
Liam Nelson
no, it takes longer to deliver stuff from China to Russia than the amount of time that's passed since the exchange rate dropped
Yay! If you mean like rule-34 tier, then no. I reckon it's the current OP Glad you like!

whats the best thai city to move to as a dutchman? planning on yoinking all my crypto gains and getting the fuck out of here before our PM claims 3/4th of my gains
Also, a plan with Russia was to create such pressure that there will be an uprasing, but they don't understand that we have state mandated pohuism as the main ideology. People are as apolitical and unmobilised as ever and most regard this operarion in the same way they are regarding sport games, rooting for their team.

Speaking of these two dumb whores, when's the vote on them joining NATO?
Matthew Miller
The west fucked itself into corner by flirting with marxism little to much and by trying to be good boys and allowing mass migration. UK atleast have some plan foward even though i think the times where they could pull it off are over becouse as i said they started flirted with marxism and the positions of power are largely infected by incopetent people who did get into the position thanks to loyalty not by being capable... USA same problem now it reached even their military and their replacing the command structure with loyalist. This will be China century maybe Indi will play some role too. What card will be in Russia hands is hard to say.
Lincoln James
Aussie did the government enforced jabs rotted your mind?

>Russia will replace all the imports that were sanctioned with goods from China it's already doing that and it's not working. a quarter of samsung smartphones are locked for example and can only be unlocked by the company. and of course there's no warranty. no spare parts. with normal demand, or worse, heightened demand, the price would be through the roof taking into account delivery cost and margins reaped by the many middlemen
and that's all in the precarious situation created by there being no secondary sanctions placed on Russia yet. when that happens (and it will), Chinese/Central Asian/Caucasian exporters buying Western products and delivering them to Russia will be banned from buying these Western products. Western goods will become luxury goods only accessible through a restricted black market
hope that clears it up
Ethan Wilson
Chiang mai unironically weather is perfect not hot or cold, modern city but no too crowd lots of westerner move there so you'll have pal to hang out with too
Bromige you got it all wrong, EU is fine, Africa is starving, Africa was major buyer of Ukraine wheat, EU bought like 20% of their products, we have fuckton of fertile lands, Africa doesnt....
>Problems we have: we are renting Barges from Montenegro, if barges return empty they are losing money, what we can fill them up with in Africa?
A story about how brave Ukrainian guys in 4 cars wanted to come to us P.s. It’s a pity we didn’t know that we mined the approaches The remaining 3 managed to escape (our flaw .. we admit)
I was talking about the west not about Poland. Look at Germany and Sweden if you want to know what i mean. Pretty sure your Economy depents on the German one as much as the Czech one.
Easton Nguyen
Should just ask Germany to ship that submarine engine as well.
Jordan Reed
>Look at Germany and Sweden if you want to know what i mean. I already addressed that. Are you illiterate?

>EU inflation is purely supply-side It’s a structural problems due to excessive money printing and aggressive green drive that is incompatible with current world economic supply chain. It’s also due to enormous burden of supporting Ukraine that will make EU’s debt becoming bloated, making it harder to tame inflation. >thinking they will be saved by frugality, average Russians are actually killing their economy even harder with ir Saving is always good but it is especially needed in this current climate. Holding cash right now is king, and holding ruble right now is the best bet.
