How do we solve the ugliness problem?

I don't understand this. For millennia cultures from all over the world have valued beauty and attempted to make their surroundings pleasant and comforting. And then about 60 years the West threw that all out the window. How can people live like this, day after day in such soul-sucking hideous monotony? What's the cause? Is it mass-production? Is it the automobile eliminating the need to experience your environment to get places? Is it TV and vidya, allowing people to stay inside all the time? How can people tolerate such ugliness their entire lives? Perhaps this is part of why suicide and depression rates are skyrocketing.

Looks comfy. You might not like it, but that’s peak performance.

Wow it's almost like the United States, the United Kingdom, China and the USSR won WWII.

>that’s peak performance.
I mean, suburbs like in the pic aren't efficient either but that's another topic. I'm really curious about the aesthetic perspective... like how do people cope with living in such a sterile environment. Is it just screens 24/7? I find it interesting that architecture went downhill as soon as TV became widespread.

They are entirely efficient, that’s the point.

Can you elaborate? The Nazis had great aesthetic tastes but generally so did the US and UK in the prewar era.

Absolutely gay-tier problem. There are an abundance of beautiful women, and I do not care about how other men look.

They cost more to maintain than either cities or rural small towns... they are extremely inefficient. But again, you're missing the point. Cultures all over the world were willing to sacrifice some efficiency for the sake of beauty... until the 50s in America.

They don’t. You are completely 180 degrees from reality.

Americans are the most arrogant assholes in the world. Most people in the world would love to live in mansions like the ones in pic related.

Still dodging the question but here ya go. Small towns are more similar to the urban costs btw. Suburbs are an immense drain on municipal finances, and directly responsible for our terrible infrastructure.

your infographic is a lie and you are an imbecile.

Bullshit. Medieval peasants would probably consider suicide if forced to live somewhere that ugly instead of pic related.

just need a bunch of trees it would be alright. shoulda made the lanes wider though

everyone wants to, it was just a luxury in the past. rich romans had american style suburbs and rural mansions

medieval peasants lived in huts on their lords land

Looks like project zombie.

youre not going to believe this but people cant afford housing at all, this might look souless but it is what some can have

>rich romans had american style suburbs
Shameless lie. Nothing even remotely resembling suburbs existed anywhere in the world before they were invented in the 50s. Rich Romans DID have country manors, which were essentially fancy farmhouses.

Peasant "huts" were larger and much more beautiful than a modern home. You've been brainwashed my dude.

Nothing is more efficient than a slab grid for water, electricity, gas, and any other amenity for modern life.

Corporations are the great filter. This race will die out having never left this rock unless you agressively knee cap corporations, corporate rights and corporate power. They are a bigger threat than anything else in the world. Russia, China, Water famines, food shortages, pedophile cults. Its all pointless if you dont put corporations in check before they kill this species.

>no plumbing
>no sewer
>no ac
>one candle costs a months wage
yeah ill stick with the 21st century where a used car costs me one months pay

Ok so... build a 14th century-style home but with plumbing? What's your point?

a log cabin with a straw roof wont pass building codes, plus i live in a giant pole barn already
