Certainly, there are factions within every affiliation, political or otherwise. No doubt the American Revolution was a particularly straining time on such an organization. Being that the Freemasons as they exist on the surface are simply an Old Goy's Club of who's who in the local-regional influence sphere, the American side was entirely reliant upon Europe for almost all commerce.
Perhaps this reliance on empire-conducive commerce is ultimately what lead to the downfall of the American Project and Western civilization as a whole.
