Defend copyright law.
Defend copyright law
LMFAO Any Forums is in love with intellectual property, like all rightwingers. Fucking disgusting. They even love the DMCA. IDK what rational or sane human being who isn't the president of a record company likes the DMCA
No, I will pirate anything and copy whatever I want
it's good because if you create something good you can get paid for it
people who try to use the stuff you make can't because you have the rights to the stuff you make
that makes people more incentivized to make good stuff, because they know they have legal rights if someone tries to steal the stuff they make
this ohio state copyright is nonsense, however
however, this looks like trademark law, which is very different from copyright law
so your question isn't really related to the image you posted.
fuck copyright
im right wing and pirate everything
cope and sneed
Copyright law is defended. Next.
i posted on this a few days ago... it's cringe and stifles innovation.
No.
Yeah well as a rightwinger you're supporting criminalizing yourself then. Typical case of "dumb rightwinger voting against his own economic interests". I mean in this case you're literally voting to criminalize your own actions
You cant. How do you enforce? What about China and best Korea? *pats your head* good try little kid
to expand, what this trademark means is that people can't sell the listed items with the word "THE" and nothing else written on them.
So if you are selling baseball hats or t-shirts with only the word "THE" on them, you have to pay Ohio State.
You can use the word "THE" in any other way and not have to pay ohio state.
explain how i voted for that. please point out a politician that i've voted for that has put copyright law on his agenda.
if you dont have copyright law, people, as well as corporations, will steal your shit
if you have copyright law, people, as well as corporations, will copyright troll and sue you into poverty.
It's almost like people are the problem, and asteroids are the solution.
There are exceptions to enforcement of trademarks.
One such exception is when a reasonable person would not think that the shirt or hat as come from Ohio State.
In such a case, Ohio State would be unable to prove dilution or tarnishment of their trademark.
A shirt with the spongebob "The" written on it will likely fall into this exception
HOWEVER, the creation of the spongebob shirt would be an infringement on the copyright to the image (presumably owned by Nickelodeon)
If you vote for the rightwing or support the rightwing in any way then you're supporting the protection and expansion of intellectual property law
They can't copyright troll and sue you into poverty if you don't infringe
asteroids won't help, but meteors may very well be the solution
t. lawfag
(you) have failed to name a single politician who has done this. keep voting for bernie. no refunds
This was true for a long time, but not anymore.
Congress finally seems content to allow stuff to start entering the public domain again.
this includes sound recordings (per a bill passed in 2018)
I don't need to name any politics. This isn't a debate. There aren't two sides to this. If you vote for the rightwing you are explicitly voting for the protection and expansion of intellectual property law. Period. No fucking debate or discussion about this it's just the simple fact
>I don't need to name any politics.
politicians*
>is that a... RED CROSS?!?!? I'll FUCKING SUE AND KILL YOU
Fuck copyright
You complain about copyright law because it prevents you from just copying the vast amount of content that is produced in USA but the fact is, without copyright law that content wouldn't be produced in the first place. Look at the entirety of Latin America next door, whenever there's someone with talent here, they simply move to USA where they know their work will be protected rather than doing it here and have it all stolen immediately. Look at Mexico, Mexican cinema was on par with Hollywood up until the 60's. Now every Mexican who can more or less sing bolts out to USA as soon as possible. Why wasn't Coco produced in Mexico? Why wasn't Encanto produced in Colombia? Because no one is trying to fund an industry there because talent flees.
Copyright law prevents brain drain.
(you) can't argue, bernie lost, and you will never be a woman. go back to discord
