Not really, even if someone starts that way they sooner or later become grifters. Or the representative doesn't tow the same line as majority of Any Forums does in one issue and the board abandons him.
All of that is good though, we should not follow some shepherd to our doom. In the end those people try to appeal to us, not the other way around.

Sure there is. Their position on foreign intervention, for one. The problem with Styx is he's the kind of guy to present himself as having an understanding subjects he obviously has a very superficial knowledge of. It's a trait of a relatively high IQ person, I'll say over 130, who has never had someone pull their card and humiliate them. I tried that shit when I was in my early 20's and never did it again. But this is also why I recognize it in him. It's hard to describe but you can sense it in what someone does and doesn't say, and the more you know about a subject the easier it is to recognize. Generally, if the things someone says are the kinds of things you might have said about something when your own understanding was still rudimentary, that's a huge tell. To actually catch out someone doing this though you have to notice it, be in the room with them, and lay traps for them to fall into because if you challenge them directly they will try cold reading you to keep the farce going. This doesn't work when someone has the assymetrical interaction of a YouTuber for obvious reasons so he gets away with a lot of shoddy work. Nevertheless Styx has pretty solid political instincts when it comes to electoral strategy, not that that matters on the grand scale but it's to his credit. He has raw intelligence but lacks discipline.
