If you build a mansion in the countryside on land you bought and you provide your own utilities (have your own water supply, produce your own electric, dispose of your own garbage and treat your own sewage) on site on your property, you should not have to pay a property tax for any reason.
But in america if you build this log cabin mansion by yourself with your 2 hands, an IRS property agent will show up and tell you to pay them otherwise you will not be allowed to live in your own house.

Everything you buy has been taxed 30 or so times by the time you own it. That's absurd. They tax every step of production and transportation. Most people don't know anything about most taxes because corporations price them into what you pay for a product at the store.
Since k-12 is paid for by local counties, and it's about 90% of every county budget, as long as schools exist so will the tax. However, we just showed nationwide that online classes are suitable, bussing unnecessary, teachers unneeded, brick and mortar building a waste. Without schools no property tax needed.

People mocked me when I told them this. You don't own the land you are just renting it from the King aka the US government. Most of my property tax goes to schools in my rural area and I don't have any kids. So freeloading breeders are milking me for cash so their little shits have space age computers or whatever. Except I quizzed a high school junior today and they had no idea what was in the US Constitution or even what the three branches of government were or how they worked. They thought the police were a branch of government. My tax dollars at work. So not only are they making me pay for the school but I also have to educate the kids myself for free. Oh and they are currently building a $3 million dollar gym at the school with my tax money.

It's better for a billion reasons: 1) Your property is sensitive to demographics. If niggers or spics move in - your house goes down in value. The money is supposed to go to things like public schools, community colleges and other city budget items like dog shelters, animal control, code enforcement etc.. The problem is all of these organizations are embezzling from the tax payer budget with what appears to be little oversight at the city council level because it appears everyone has a hand in the cookie jar, eventually.
We pay property tax on our cars every year when we register them too.

It was sold as a way to pay for the Spanish American War and was only supposed to last for a year. Income tax makes less sense than literally any other tax.
