Taiwan should enable Pirates

Why doesn’t Taiwan and South China Sea nations employ privateering (state-sponsored piracy) to combat Chinas navy?

France and the UK used this to wreak havoc on Spanish-controlled Caribbean which led to the Golden Age of Piracy

Two benefits of this is that we get:

>China’s Navy blown the fuck out
>Return of Pirates not those Somalian knock-offs
>a degree of self-exclusion as said state sponsored piracy can’t exactly be proven, this has been done in the Middle East with Saudi Arabia sponsoring terrorist groups

no glownigger

Pirates are the perfect proxy to combat China’s aggressive naval strategy and policy. The US itself can’t exactly intervene as that would lead to an even bigger conflict.

As for the effectiveness of Pirates against Chinese Navy is something to ponder. I have no idea how China’s navy compares to the US

I’m speculating strategies Taiwan and Southeast Asia should use against an aggressive China, I am unimportant and nor am I a Pirate creating Pirate groups.

I’m just a nerd with a penchant for Pirates and a hate boner for China

There is already a precedence for South China Sea Pirates dating back to the 17th Century sponsored by the Vietnamese Dynasty at the time, mostly consisting of former fishermen

How is this retarded

On a side note, privateering is legal under US Law

Privateering is not piracy—there are rules and commissions, called letters of marque, that governments issue to civilians, allowing them to capture or destroy enemy ships. The U.S. Constitution expressly grants Congress the power to issue them (Article I, section 8, clause 11)

The United States could hire privateers to raid Chinese merchant ships and destroy port facilities owned by Chinese state-owned enterprises. Privateers could inflict economic harm, degrade China’s war machine that relies upon foreign supply lines, and hurt Chinese military’s decision-making efforts.

because every single one of those countries has to deepthroat china daily to survive

That is simply not true except maybe Philippines under Duterte.

Southeast Asian nations and Taiwan especially have always been US Allies and trading partners.

Given any other alternative, SEA despite trading with China would 100% side with the Western world as they always have

picrel will solve pirating ships, cheap & effective

What, and give China target practice?

Besides, China engages in piracy of the digital kind anyway.

because chinks ships aren't the only ones sailing there

>Southeast Asian nations and Taiwan especially have always been US Allies and trading partners.

There is a certain conflict that happened in the 60's and 70's that you're forgetting...

minor clashes happen frequently
they would have done this already if they can actually beat PLAN

>Thats right western barbarians
>Give us-I mean give China an excuse to expand Naval operations in our-I mean international waters

And whats to stop the chinese navy and air force from opening fire on these pirates?

>enable pirates
You speak as if such an act were as simple as ticking a box in Total War menu.

Does it really fucking matter if China controls the South China Sea?
Why do I give a fuck if Malaysia and Vietnam can't have as many fisherman?
Why give a fuck if you don't live there?

Nothing, that’s the risk you take as a pirate dumbass.
