Last call to stock up on ammo

Greeting pol, I'm usually a /k/ poster, but I wanted to come and give you a warning about ammunition availability, particularly for the US anons; This might be your LAST call to stock up on 5.56/7.62x51 if you live in the US. Prices are probably about to double or more when LC is barred from selling to civilians. For context, LC is responsible for 30+% of all 5.56 shot by civilians.

>“This policy to deny the sale of excess ammunition not only would freeze over 30 percent of the 5.56mm/.223 caliber ammunition used by law-abiding gun owners,” Oliva said, “it risks the ammunition industry’s ability to surge production capacity for national defense if the costs to maintain the present workforce isn’t recouped through sales to the civilian market.”

This is also coming on the back of new Russian ammo import bans and is going to cause common calibers to getting much more expensive. Add this to the fact that enormous amounts of ammo production is heading straight to Ukraine instead of into the civilian markets like usual and you might see $1/rd basic bitch M139 or more in the not too distant future.

I hope the good state disobeys. To hell with tyranny.

wait, so biden is saying that a plant that produces excess needs to run less often so as to only sell to the government? Does the government have a requirements contract or an output contract for ammo production from the plant? It is not like you can just cancel production from a federal contract without having a judge down your ass. Now i am sure biden will authorize the doj to settle it but this seems speculative. I dont see how it flies to shut down a plants production that is guaranteed by the government.

didnt psa buy up the old remmington ammo factory after they went bankrupt?

The biden admin is lawless so do not expect them to, you know. obey the law or contracts etc.

I remember hearing something about PSA buying up an ammo manufacturing plant, but this is also coming from a company that is "totally going to release an MP5 clone for $1200! We swear it's coming out later this year™!" for the past 5 years. Fuck, despite being a firearms manufacturer they somehow managed to be one of the last entrants into the "it takes Glock parts but it's totally not a Glock" pistol game with the Dagger. I'm not holding my breath for much out of PSA, they often over promise and under deliver.

Fucking eights what do they mean.

Funny you mention. I just bought some M855 just today.

Rookie numbers

Bro, the fire dept is already going to let my house burn to the ground if there is a fire with as much stash that I already have. This was just topping off a lil bit.

Also forgot this one, fun quote from one of the larger civi ammo warehouses:

>"To me as well as some of the in-the-know people I have discussed this with, the major concern is that the government may also force the BATF to pull the armor piercing exemption for M855 ammo that allows M855 and SS109 type ammo to be legally sold by various factories operating in the US commercial market. That would end supply from all manufacturers that produce this type of ammo for the US commercial market and cripple supply on 5.56 ammo in a way that may take several years to repair."

Source is SGAmmo, they think it will reach out past LC manufacturing to all manufacturers.

>Gotta pump those numbers up son, that isn't even a single range trip. Not bad if you are rotating out a combat load, but I hope you keep more than that on hand.

I do, I do. I'm just saying I grabbed a lil M855 because of the ammo talk. Believe me, I am good.

well i hope they get their shit together; youd think the butt ton of money to be made with ammo prices where theyre at would be enough motivation to do a turn around on the plants and get them printing $100 bills 24/7

also; checked

ok fedposting and you got digits. just so other people dont get riled up by your bullshit, no they cannot act lawlessly with federal contracts. there are no specifics in that article as to what the white house intends to do with their contract and it is just bullshit hearsay clickbait from right wing crap right now. Would they move to cancel a contract and just pay out the settlement? yeah sure, but that isn't even brought up in the article that folks here probably did not even read. it states
>“Winchester was informed that the government is considering restricting the manufacturing and commercial sale of legal ammunition produced at the Lake City, Mo., facility.”
>In operation since 1941 to produce ammunition for the U.S. Army, the government contracts with the private firm Winchester to run the enterprise and sell any excess supplies on the open market. The plant also produces XM855 and XM193 ammunition
If the government has an output contract with them and says hey sell off to the consumer that which we dont want that's fine because winchester can sell it at a premium to gun nuts. If the government wants to breach the output contract by saying they only need less than before, they cannot just shut down the factory. the factory has in fact a duty to keep running to keep producing to mitigate costs against the government.
you fucking gun nuts need to learn laws but you only focus on muh 2nd amendment bullshit.

What if I can't own guns anymore AND what if the "Big Ice House"/"Apocalypse" never happens?

chinas, "biden" administration wants us to stop making ammo right on the cusp of ww3.. well, that's not surprising at all.

lol holy shit name a fucking gun manufacturer that has done more in the last 10 years:

>COMPLETELY DOMINATED the AR market to the point that no other manufacturer can even sell one
>SINGLE HANDEDLY established the american domestic AK market. also drove the price of domestic AK's down a bunch
>literally dozens of AK options, soon to be in 5.45 as well. unless you want a KUSA bitchass, they have the best 9mm ak on the market BY FAR
>made the AR-V in 9mm which is basically the hk-ish clone you are talking about. that's what it became.
>made a cheap 5.7 pistol with amazing trigger
>made JAKL which is basically the cheapest piston driven upper you can get outside maybe a wolf imported a1 based on the taiwanese t91
>acquired numerous other companies and/or facilities to expand their production capabilities

bruh imagine shitting on PSA at this point. you should thank them you aren't paying $2k for a wasr and $1,500 for a fucking DPMS basic bitch AR holy fucking shit.

calm down faggot

breitbart.com/politics/2022/06/21/deputy-wh-press-secretary-biden-administration-will-not-restrict-ammunition-currently-available/

Honestly it's better to build a cheap and crude Riveted AK-47/74 and a STEN gun.

My only issue is finding a good sauce of 9mm and 7.62x39/5.45x39. Not too trusting of these local types.

>What if I can't own guns anymore
Carry a real man's big iron, and by that I mean a black powder Colt 1851. It's BP, so it's not considered a firearm for some retarded reason.

>what if the "Big Ice House"/"Apocalypse" never happens?
Owning a gun is always a good idea, just like owning any other tool is. Sure sucks to need a fire extinguisher and not have one right? If you have it and never needed it, well it's probably the most inexpensive insurance policy you'll ever find.

I'm shitting on their ability to deliver what is promised on a timely basis, never said a things about the quality or price of their products. I swear, you PSA fanboys are fucking rabid. Also, laughable to claim the ARV is "what it became", we actually got to see some prototypes from PSA, they were legit MP5s. They even tickled our sacks with them at shotshow:

It's cool you like the company bro, but this is pretty cringe.

I just can't fathom why I can't own a modern firearm anymore - but I guess that's what happens when Uncle Sam makes rules that leaves ex Felons disarmed.

I know you can petition to have your rights back if you can show a long history of good behavior in most states. For what it's worth I think you should have your rights back if you have served your time.
