Buddhism is legit. Couple things I like about them:
1) In the first part of their "bible", it suggests to the reader to think about these lessons you will learn and decide in your own heart whether it's true or not. So there's not nearly as much guilting you into believing, like so many other religions.
2) It is a religion of peace. This is a nice change. Not a religion based on conquest and violence.
3) Enlightenment is the highest goal of Buddhism. Not wealth accumulation, status, or power. But a peaceful heart and a healthy mind and body.
