In the beginning, people like Molyneux were exposing the cover up the severity of covid in Thailand, and we already knew China was doing the same. Covid deaths there were misleadingly reported as plain old "pneumonia", and a similar cover up happened here. But suddenly, without explanation, propaganda began flooding right wing spaces - especially Any Forums. People began posting silly memes about the mask being a tool for enslavement (even though the real enslavement happens through education, debt, media, etc.) and misleading graphs that appeared to show covid being exaggerated. Any Forums unfortunately fell for it and began to see a basic health measure - wearing a mask - as tyrannical or seemingly even demonic.
It's not hard to understand why libertarian boomers would be against government mandates, but why The dissident right wing? Aren't we supposed to be more collectivist?
