I actually find it refreshing that Stranger Things hasn't talked about race once, at least not in any significant way. It also isn't throwing fag shit everywhere for no reason. It's pretty much politics free.

The negress is literally a stereotypical le sassy negress who bullies her nerd older brother. She isn't particularly heroic. Lucas, her older brother, is probably the lamest of the "kids" as well. None of the black characters are strong. Steve and Hopper are White and are the strongest men throughout the series. Hopper literally survives being in a Russian prison and Steve is constantly being based and fighting monsters.
