Is intolerance more natural than tolerance?

Is human intolerance towards the unknown really that strange? Think about it. Humans were never meant to visit different continents and places far from themselves in this world. The Earth's continents are all separated by humongous Oceans and the 'exploration of the earth' was only made possible due to man-made boats and planes; and so we found different civilizations with different customs, cultures, etc. The Earth's continents all have their different climates which have created different types of people. Africa has a hot and dry climate causing the people to be less developed intellectually but more excellent developed physically. The other way around we find that places in colder climates (North America, Scandinavia) create people with greater intellect and rationale.

I believe it's more natural for humans to be close-minded rather than open-minded. I can see though why elites are trying to bring education and open-mindedness to the rest of the world to avoid tribal wars and other destructive tribal behavior which pushes humanity back as a whole. However, I do think elites misunderstand that globalization is needed to reach this goal. Am I wrong?

If tolerance was natural they wouldn't have to constantly propagandize people in media and education, or threaten them with loss of income, legal conseqeunces for not adhereing to it.

When there is no rational basis for intolerance then it's just a weakness (you are letting something irrelevant bother). In the general literal sense tolerance is a strength (you can tolerate anything if you are strong enough)

no, what's unnatural is the modern day idea of tolerance. today, many people think tolerance means acceptance or agreement. tolerance really means disagreement and non-acceptance. you don't tolerate things you already agree with and accept in your society. that makes no sense. you tolerate things you don't agree with and do not accept in your own life.
tolerance really just means "we don't think you're doing the right thing, but we won't legally persecute you". so for gays for example, it means no gay marriage, no civil unions, no protection against discrimination. just that you don't get arrested or thrown off buildings for being a fag.
modern society isn't really tolerant. it is dogmatically progressive. you have to agree with the progressive ideology or you get persecuted. you misgender someone? PUNISHED! you're right wing? PUNISHED! you don't wanna go to gay pride? PUNISHED!

Exactly. I wouldn't care for gay people if it wasn't constantly shoved into our faces, if they didn't try to change the language and influence our kids, etc. But today you need to accept this shit.
