It's nothing but escapism, and not the healthy kind. It is inherently degenerate, enticing men to homosexuality and pedophilia and often turning them into pussies who hide at home and do nothing but consume anime and refuse to have careers and jobs. Most anime protagonists are entirely passive and retarded and simply get a harem of 5 girls. This is simply not how the real world works.

I used to really like anime and I know 4channis founded on weeaboo culture, but I'm starting to agree. When I was into anime I was a degenerate coomer. Almost every show has some kind of lust or degeneracy in it, and it twists and perverts the natural desire for a ripe woman. Every anime right winger I find is just larping/shit posting and doesn't take much of it too seriously.
I still really like a lot of the art style and facial expressions though, the faces can be very expressive and beautiful, but especially most of these more shows people post are degenerate. And the more I better myself, the more offputting this is.

Anime is the spiritual successor of the American animation (before Disney got co-opted by kikes, and now they're trying to do the same to anime). I firmly believe that if HItler had lived to see anime he would have seen it as a brilliant artform capable of vividly depicting the ideals of national socialism, which in a way it already has. But like everything else in modernity, it has degenerated into a pathetic, low-brow form. Although even modern anime is far superior to the sickening trifle that American animation has become.
