FFX was the one where I was finally old enough to not be into those shitty fucking games and put it down, and grew up. 7 and 8 were CASH though back in the day.
It was first one I ever played, and has greatest nostalgia factor. I later went on to play some of the older ones after that. NES FF3 is pretty good as well as snes ff3. ff12 I liked well enough, although it felt like it ended abruptly. FF9 was enjoyable, but again, the end seemed a bit abrupt to me. Not quite as bad as 12. By "abrupt" I mean it felt a bit like they had bigger plans, but then scaled back.
FF7 and 8 I felt were both pretty meh. Definitely did not get why ff7 is considered so omg awesome by people. Its alright, not bad at all, just didn't live up to the hype train for me.
