ok here's my question. what do you think the deal was with the covid scare, I don't mean, who caused or or anything, but why are parts of China still opening up. I get that the party panicked and tried to pass the blame down to local officials for fucking things up/people dying. For a while there China seemed to have zero cases which was definitely bullshit, then they ramped up the fearprop again and locked everything down. I don't understand why they would do that unless they fear something massively from the people (covid panic getting out of hand, blaming government, open defiance, etc)
