Countries do not exist, it is a relatively modern concept that crystallized fully in post-napoleonic era of sovereign secular nation states.
Back in the day a country used to mean a completely different thing, it meant a landmass with your blood brothers, your very direct relatives, ideally being ruled by specific families that are best of your blood and if they fail they are specifically to blame and will die.
What happened over time is that government as a system optimized itself to exist above the notions of blood, they took the demand of people wanting to be protected, used it to repackage the idea of a nation into a sterile subservience of a beurocratic institute and then proceeded to sell it back to you.
I don't care about Roman, but if you think that any person is obliged to support a system (every current country) that is the enemy of your true tribal origins, you are wrong.
