He caused oil industry companies to lose billions with the stroke of a pen
He broke the trust, which means even if he tries to reverse course
no one will trust him with that sort of investment again

Disruptions in global supply from war in europe + when oil went negative in 2020 it took out a lot of refineries stateside and corps haven't wanted to make the risky investment to bring them back online when lockdown or price collapse could happen again.
If I were Brandon I would be subsidizing fracking and ultimately nuclear hard right now. But instead we're doubling down on electric cars and not really having a plan.
