I hope you all have looked into alternative ways to heat this winter. Propane, oil and NG are going to be through the roof this winter. You will be choosing between eating and staying warm. If you think they wont jack electric prices up this winter, I'm sorry.
Who has take the wood stove red pill?
unless you have wood drying now and a wood stove already bought and paid for you will be no better off
jews and niggers won't chop wood neither should you
Firewood price increases follow that of other heating sources. It's best to buy your wood at least one full year ahead of when you plan to burn it to give it proper time to fully season. You will end up using less to heat more, and saving a significant amount of money.
I have 3 years of wood stacked and split. This coming winters wood will be seasoned over a year by the time its ready to start burning. All hardwood red and white oak and hickory.
Don't burn pallet wood. You never know what has been spilled on it during its lifetime. You could be releasing toxic chemicals into the air by burning it.
Chainsaws run on gas. Wood splitters run on gas. Wood prices are going up to match the increasing demand. Most people don't have their own land to harvest wood from. Wood heat feels very nice but only goes so far so most rooms that aren't directly connect to which ever room you have your stove in will be very cold. Also you will need to "feed" it every couple of hours if you want to keep the house at that temperature. Hope you don't mind waking up that often.
t. wood stove heat exclusively
I took a wood stove to the cranium after getting out of a hot tub after drinking Champaign and doing coke when I hit a joint and passed out and the towel fell off. Is that what you're talking about?
great your stepdad is probably pretty happy you helped him split wood so he had more time with mom
You have a not very good stove then. I heat 1400sqft with a Hearthstone Mansfield. I get overnight 12 hour burns. I can get my house warm enough to sit in my underwear on 0 degree days.
Size your stove to your home's heating needs, and you won't have a problem. Also, if you're feeding your stove every couple of hours, you're not using it right.
I think that's bait.
True I also have a not very good house. But if I could afford to do anything about either of those things I could afford an easier form of heat.
I'm blanket fort pilled
Generally yeah. I know exactly where they are coming from, so I know they haven't been contaminated. ymmv
will be internationally outlawed/banned in 2030. new real estate construction is all electric heat to avoid retrofit costs 8 years from now.
I have a pellet stove. Uses minimal electricity and I have 3 tons of pellets stored already. Fuck splitting and stacking wood
unironically worked with EPA on wood combustion regulations, it is coming
Good luck. This winter it will cost me around $30 a month to keep my house as warm as I want. I know it makes kikes and progs seethe. venison tenderloin, wood stove heat. Reeeeeeee eat the bugs.
>No
Pellet stoves are good, but they still require a pretty significant amount of manufacturing of their fuel source. Not to mention that if the pellets get wet they're ruined.
How the fuck would you enforce such a thing?
axes run on blood sweat and tears.
>you get warmed up felling the tree
>you get warmed up bucking it
>you get warmed up trandporting it
>you get warmed up splitting the rounds
>you get warmed up stacking the wood
then finally you burn it for warmth. wood is the most efficient home heating fuel.
Green mountain here. 2000 sqft two story cabin. Heats the shit out of it but only get max 6 hours till chilly. Wish I would have bought the 80 instead of the 60 but I believed their “heat life” BS.
regulating new stoves, Europe may have more ability to regulate existing, but in USA itslike 90% white trash types that are using older wood stoves (not pellet) burning trash and cum rags or whatever
>102 today
Fuck you. I dont even wanna think about heat
Existing wood stoves will be grandfathered. Buy them now.
I switched from wood stove to two heatpumps and went from burning 4 cord of wood a year to burning maybe 10 logs on the coldest of nights, the electricity cost is virtually negligible, the price of electricity would have to increase 5 fold before I started splitting and sticking wood again.
If you want to spend every waking minute doing it... sure.
How long before you get your ROI on those heat pumps?
They ban the sale of non-epa approved stoves like they already do and ignore everyone selling non-epa approved “barn/garage stoves”. Lol.
they have incentives from gov up there
Yeah we went way oversized for our home. I have been fucking with wood stoves for 30 years. I know the manufacture tricks.
yeah, but really you want the best most efficient stove, which is the newest and best European technology basically
>t. Low-t cuck
Ive got a wood fireplace and a gas fireplace with a giant ass tank that’s filled to the brim. At the very least, this winter will be fine. Luckily for us all, winters aren’t anywhere near as cold as they use to be anyways.
