Americans should honestly invest in a deep fryer. Then they can cut the potatoes very thin by hand and make chips or fries. My grandma did this when I was a kid and they were far better than any of the brand name shit. You can season them however you want. The companies that sell this food lobby to make it food stamp eligible. No one else really gives a fuck -- certainly not enough to purchase a senator -- so it becomes food stamp eligible.
Honestly I am kind of for as few restrictions as possible. Administering restrictions costs money, and I don't give a flying fuck whether poor people are healthy or whether their kids get to eat at the end of the month.
