A penny saved is a penny earned though. I've usually made 50K or less, and my wife hasn't worked a day since our first baby was born. For one year I made 80K. Many years I made 35 or 40K. We have acreage with several homes on it, free and clear now. The key is that my wife doesn't blow our money on makeup, shoes, shopping, and other shit. She's as good with money as I am. The downside is she's German, a planner, and not "fun" a.k.a. crazy in bed.
