The interesting thing about this is that Republicans are all attacking Biden for drawing down the strategic petroleum reserve as the end of the world. But they all actually voted in various bills to mandate the sales from the SPR down to the target level by 2028, including the TCJA. They are just seething that he's doing it early when prices are high because they want to keep them high.
