their modern culture has been designed by corporations. It feels like you are only worth as much as you can spend, and most things are out to get you. Young Americans quickly become saavy to tricking people, scamming, bullying, intimidating, etc. Through this weird, money-dominated paradigm, awful feelings of resentment build up even among middle class kids who realize their life will be nothing but toil, if they are lucky - and abject failure if they do not keep up with their peers. There is little genuine positive sentiment from the system - mostly just wants you to pay up and shut up. Those on the fringes are beginning to crack as the system becomes degrees more intolereable.

The Health care system of Asylums was completely dismantled due to cost and public opinion vs reality of societal impact and cost. We now suffer from ill people with no help. Most even if the medication helped wont take it cant afford it. Asylum walls were not only keep people in but keep the world out so the patients could heal. I fear the US is lost.
