I shouldn't even have to think about work on my off-days, yet I can't fucking stop these intrusive thoughts from raping my conscience. I get too exhausted from working throughout the day and my energy levels get depleted to the point at which I'm too fatigued to pursue/enjoy my hobbies. It's gotten so much worse over the past few months and I just don't know how much longer I can cope with this perpetual suffering before going off the deep end.
Jobs and work culture should be reformed so that they aren't just some shitty caricature of modern day slavery.

If you want to quit, I recommend paying off all of your insurance policy and prepaying some rent. I use solar panels/battery for my electricity, and own a chest freezer for a few weeks of frozen 'exotic' foods like meat and tendies. I don't touch the freezer it's my 2-more-weeks shtf lunchbox
This isn't as impossible as you think. As I said, I quit my job a month ago and because I've eliminated so many of my monthly/variable expenses and have so few fixed ones I can really extend my time off work to look for jobs, neet, etc. I even am financing an EV for $170 a month and EV fuel is free in my municipality.
