All religions have some version of what is called the Golden rule. Wil Wheaton put it like this, "Don't be a dick." This is the highest standard the wisdom of man has ever achieved.
But the Golden rule in Christianity is "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you. Love everyone, especially your enemies.
God demonstrated perfect love by becoming a man and laying down His life for His enemies. He died for people who hated Him, reviled Him, spit in His face, whipped Him, mocked Him, He died for them while praying to the Father to forgive them.
I love you and Jesus loves you. He's real. If you want a relationship with Him just reach out in prayer to Jesus.
