Saw this video here ^ All the comments are angry at the black guy for saying:

Comments call him names and say that men are also responsible for single mothers, but they don't give many reasons why. I think that dudes are partly responsible, but that women bear most of the blame since they are the gatekeepers of sex and bear the brunt of the consequences. Here's my argument:

It's not that bad men shouldn't change, but that they don't suffer so, who should be more concerned about the outcome of their choices? The man who leaves with no immediate consequences, or the woman stuck with all the responsibility? At that point, it isn't about blame. It kinda poetic, even though the woman isn't to blame, or doesn't want to accept responsibility, she's still stuck with all the responsibility. I blame the woman because she should be more concerned about the outcome of the sexual interaction. If she isn't, she takes the brunt of the consequences (child care). I feel like women should blame themselves, not because it's their fault, but because if they don't they're liability to suffer again. Women should be more vigilant about who they engage with sexually so as to avoid negative encounters. We could blame men all we want, but that isn't going to bring them back and man them up to be fathers. In my mind, the person who should be more concerned about changing and taking responsibility is the person who invariably bears the brunt of the consequences as a result of the interaction. Otherwise, they and their children will just keep suffering.
What do you guys think? Am I onto something? I don't wanna echo chamber myself so, I wanna hear what y'all think.
