Today I went to a mixer event and met a bunch of people. A group of use decided to go out to a restaurant after the event for drinks, and everyone was a bit drunk by that point.
Vaccination came up, and I mistakenly admitted that I wasn't vaccinated. What ensued was beyond my comprehension.
A woman at the table started shouting at me and making fun of me. She got up, and literally started calling me "STUPID" and an "idiot" for not taking the vaccine. She actually got up from the table, did a lap around the restaurant, and kept saying I was a stupid piece of shit for not getting vaccinate.
I was completely taken aback by this. It was surreal. It got so bad that the other people at the table started to defend me. All of the other people were like "we don't agree with him, but it's his right not to take the vaccine"
The woman literally kept shouting at me though, and it was super fucking awkward and crazy. I eventually got up and called an uber home, but I was on the verge of tears.
This didn't happen on reddit or Any Forums, this was real life. Dude fuck this society man, I just want off this ride.
She sounds like an unhinged cunt. I would have just laughed at her and if she tried to drag shit out told her to fuck off.
People have been getting crazier for a long time now, since way before covid but that's certainly exacerbated things. You can't get wrapped up in their bullshit and take if seriously, It's not worth it.
The appropriate response for this situation, especially considering she was belligerent, is to tell her: "Oh yeah? Seethe harder you stupid bitch", then flip her off and tell her to "go fuck herself", smile and then sit back down and ignore her.
If she continues to make noise, then it becomes a pissing contest, what you do is you screech back at her with twice the force to establish dominance.
By now your co-workers are probably looking at you like you're a weirdo too. What you do is now is you stare them all in the eyes and say "What? You got a problem too"?
Then you down the rest of your drink in one and leave and say "Bunch of a fucking brain dead sheep" whilst strolling out with a smug shitgrin on your face.

I've been in similar situations (Although nothing so theatrical or humiliating. Always casual.) Always, before disclosing your vaccination status, ask them when they got their last booster, or which brand of vaccine.
If it's been over 6 months, their vaccine, according to the government, no longer protects them. Almost no-one I've spoken to has been vaccinated within the last 2 months. This means you own the conversation, and you can mock them however you please. They literally cannot recover.
