Yes. They went from being a local electronics components supplier to a glorified phone kiosk some time in the 2000s, then faded away.
I still miss the convenience and utility of old Radioshack. Only way to get those parts is online now.

Microcenter is nice. I didn't know they had basic components like capacitors, resistors, etc. I think the closest one to me is about an hour away. I buy most of those parts from Mouser these days.
