What are the political implications of getting dentures...

Dentures are universally recognized as a bad solution and only really used if you can't afford titaninium implants.
As soon as you start using dentures your jaw starts to fall apart from lack of normal chewing keeping the bones alive.

Were you in some sort of pain or accident? Was it worth it in the end?

Some of the newer better quality ones do but you can still get the old fashioned kind. The difference is these kind that screw in you don't have to glue down and worry about not being able to eat certain things and they won't slip out. My dad had the old school kind and he looked really good. Dentures look better on men than women. When women get all their teeth pulled unless they have a strong jaw their face will droop

Any time you get a composite filling its game over for that tooth. Composite fillings are only designed to last 5 to 10 years and to employ them they have to destroy the natural structure of the tooth. Every tooth you have with a composite fill will eventually need a crown

No why you jowels after having your teeth pulled, particularly back teeth is because the roots of your back teeth are what hold your face up so with all that bone missing you can get minimal to heavy jowels. If you are overweight the jowels would be worse. It's often cheaper for Americans to cross over the Mexican border to get their dental work done than right in their own city, even Canadians go to Mexico for dental work. Literally on the other side of the border it's a small town of mostly dentists and doctors who cater to Americans and Canadian

it would take at least a full 60 years for anything like that to happen - there would have to be other factors too, if there is a small chip in the bone next to the implant itself - could cause a micro absyss / infection, if it gets through to a highway, yeah - not fun.
