Totally false. Every single Russian "Separatist" is not even from Ukraine originally. Valery Bolotov was the original ring leader of the so called 'Luhansk Peoples Republic" - Bolotov was born in Rostov in Russia.
Bolotov also had a very expensive apartment in Moscow (kek) and was "suicided" and replaced after he was no longer useful. This happened routinely leading up to the war.
Russia's KGB started the war (oops sorry FSB ;)) by flooding East Ukraine with foreign mercs and guns and using them to start violence. Prior to the FSB involvement, Ukraine was quiet and nobody even talked about it.
