I worked in a couple of different trades before going to college. I went to an automotive trade school right after graduating high school, and work at a couple of dealerships. Got laid off because the shop had next to no work coming in, and while looking for a new job all of my tools were stolen, thus ending my auto mechanic "career." I then work at a steel fab shop as a pipe fitter. I made a lot more money there, but absolutely hated my job. Finally went to college at age 24, met a gorgeous 18 year old during my second year that married 4 years later, and have been enjoying my teaching career ever since I graduated in 2004.
