Are natural resources that important?

Every country that is filled with resources is failing (Ukraine, Russia, Venezuela, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, etc.)

China and Japan aren't resource rich at all on the other hand

Why do resources matter if you're not allowed to use them how you want anyway

And you got places like Norway and Saudi Arabia that are rich in oil it matter how you manage your economy if you will be rich or not.

There's something called the resource trap

Your list of "failing countries" is a little strange, doesn't really represent all resource rich countries at all and some of them aren't even resource rich, the all of them are heavily sanctioned or involved in a war

its more a matter of being neoliberal I feel than it is about the resources

>aren't even resource rich, the all of them are heavily sanctioned or involved in a war
well yea, that's what I mean. The resource just get those countries involved in more conflict

The Monarchy of Saudi Arabia is neoliberal

ya I know. So resources are of no use if you aren't neoliberal

Resources in and of themselves aren't worth much. They need to be harvested, refined and or turned into products for the real value to be made.

which most countries won't be allowed to if america doesn't want them too

Iran and Venezuela are fine.

>what's the point of natural resources if the US and Saudi Arabia will try to take them from you?
You've been spending too much time on this sissy board.
