The second I noticed that the only purpose most crypto and all NFTs have is to resell for an higher value.
Consider bullets, paintings and houses. The last two in particular can theoretically be bought as a store of value so you can resell them later at a steeper price. The first too in case of collapse ala Metro 2033.
But you can still hang a painting on a wall or live in a house or shoot those bullets. They still have a practical use that give them value even if you find nobody to sell them to.
Now imagine you had bullets with a caliber that don't fit any gun. But maybe one day there will be a gun that takes them! Better buy these bullets while they are cheap!
Or a painting that you don't even have around. It's just stored in some warehouse and you have the receipt that you can sell to anyone interested.
Or a house on the Moon, when we have no commercial flights to go there yet.
For all the promises that bitcoins and similar would overthrow the dollar, there has been no effort to introduce them in a serious market so they could serve as currency instead of just being yet another speculative good you buy cheap to sell expensive.
And this fundamentally means that the only reason you're gonna buy any of this crap is just to screw someone else who will buy it at a bigger price purely because he thinks he can scam someone else at an even bigger price.
It's so fucking ridiculous that I have to wonder why hasn't EA or Activision tried to cash in it several years ago when it was kicking off.

Every transaction conducted on a blockchain is tracked. You can break your bitcoin up into satoshis and reform it to hide its history, but glowniggers will arrest you even if you do that.
