I had a friend who grew up in Oakland. There was this white retired USMC officer that set up a liquor store in the black part of Ookland but with a unique twist. The cash desk was behind bulletproof polycarbonate and the owner had a secret door behind him that faced into the parking lot. Nigger would come in and rob him at knife or gunpoint then flee to the parking lot to escape and USMC officer would open his door and plug the nigger.
