I just back from Egypt and I have to say, I have never been so completely and utterly disgusted with a people, culture or nation in my entire life. It pains me to say this, because I adore travelling and almost every country I have been to, no matter how poor, has had positive aspects to its people, culture, history, cuisine or other things. Egypt is the first place I have been to where I can say that almost nothing, except for its ancient ruins and natural beauty, has redeemable qualities. The sites in Egypt, like Karnk, Abu Simbel, The Pyramids etc... are simply unbelievable. They are majestic, gorgeous and probably the greatest archaeological sites on the planet. Karnk almost brought me to my knees. It’s unfortunate then that these amazing historical treasures have the misfortune of being located in a country that seemingly does not seem to care about any of it.

Firstly, the garbage. Egypt is absolutely disgusting. Trash everywhere you look. The skies are grey and brown with smog and car exhaust. Cairo is the ugliest, most horrific and dystopian looking city I have ever had the misfortune of venturing through. Mounds of garbage in piles next to the Pyramids, ungodly levels of congestion and traffic, absolutely no green space and just miles upon miles of poorly constructed, hideous apartment blocks crammed on top of each other. 22 million people living in one giant, toxic dustbowl of pollution, sand, concrete and filth. And what’s even more horrifying is that Cairo’s population is expected to DOUBLE over the next 50 years. It’s an absolute mess of a city. Even in smaller cities like Luxor you have garbage and litter in all of the plazas and parks. Right next to Luxor Temple, one of the most beautiful ancient temples in the world, are piles of trash. The Nile? Filled with garbage. The desert? Garbage. Everywhere you look there is trash. Egypt is a giant landfill. Even India had the common decency to at least clean up the area around Taj Mahal.

I mean nuclear fission is kinda boring to me at this point, it's main benefit is really environmental and being condusive to nuclear weapons which is all great, but even at our current consumption rate we only have 200 years of Uranium left. It is not something to rely on long term, we should actually be buying up and preserving as much Uranium as possible.

I'm not really betting on any fusion being successful though, there's a little known mathematical proof written in the 90s that proved all possible confinement plasma reactor designs are inefficient to produce power from self-sustaining fusion. These fusion reactors are sadly mostly scams that talk about achieving heat production efficiency, but not actual usable grid power efficiency.

let me tell you the process that people go through to get legally into European countries is more of a hassle and financially harder than getting smuggled in, because they require a the following things:

1- financial ability to stay in Europe without begging for money ( which is understandable ).
2- have a high level of education or experience or skill to apply for jobs there and companies would sponsor the person if they are really in need for him and cant find someone else from a better country, some companies avoid sponsorship in general which make it even harder to get a legal job.

- Nuclear for electricity, water/heat utilities in cities, large shipping and industrial processes where applicable. Replace with geothermal where it makes sense and remove all hydroelectric dams when possible and where they aren't critical for fresh water.
