Why are critical infrastructure manufacturing is being build on the borders where conflicts are more likely to occur ? Taiwan is a target for China and most of the russian neighbours are being seen as rebellious republics that have to be “re-integrated” at some point. If semi-conductors are to be build somewhere they ought to be created as far away from any potential conflict as possible.
