Russian Admiral Podgursky in 1918 helped to quickly and peacefully disarm Russian troops in Finland and handed over these weapons to the Finnish White Guard to fight the local communists.
In the spring of 1919, it was the Russian White Guards of Prince Lieven who liberated Riga from the Bolsheviks.
The Russians fought as part of the Estonian army and as part of the Pskov Volunteer Corps against the Red Army during the Estonian Liberation War.
If it weren't for the Russians, you would have been communist colonies already in 1918 or 1919
