I recently moved to an area that doesn’t do recycling with garbage and I just don’t feel right about throwing shit like bottles of water and paper in the trash. I guess cardboard will breakdown but it just doesn’t sit too well with me.

I dumped off a truck full of carbboard boxes to recycle at the garbage plant a couple of times, they took that and actually put it seperate to recycle. Meanwhile to my left theyre dumping not trash, but the recycle truck, you can see its all plastics and cardboard and what not, into a giant pile along with other trucks dumping the straight trash of all kinds, then its getting bundled up into bales and hoisted away somewhere.
They only actually recycle the pristenely separated recyclables.
