Is mandatory national service/military conscription viable?
Like require a national service for 18-21 year old that only deals with domestic operations (ie: no dying internationally for globohomo)

Why wouldn't it be viable? In our war with Indonesia our professional military were used for offensive missions. While the drafted soldiers were just patrolling and supplying and such.
