Why are there so many trade jobs unfilled?

Do young people not want to SWEAT?

Look at his hands, do those look like the hands of someone who has worked hard for many years?

The deal with trades is:
They trade their bodies/long term health for a decent wage. If you remove the decent wage part, no one is going to work in trades.

Because boomer managers want to only to hire millennials with 1 year experience which zoomers can't because they literally just graduated.

Even short term is great for personal skill/value, can't find any apprentices worth a fuck or willing to learn

Another demographic misstep from the left. Those empty trades should be stuffed with freshly-amnestified Latinos

I would prefer to NEET

Iv hardly seen any. And as always, they have to be willing to actually hire someone not just collect resumes to use in some kind of abstract art piece.

The problem is that people don't make enough to save up for anything like a house. Most people are just working to get their drug or alcohol fix in blue collar jobs. Wages have to actually increase to reflect inflation.

Also working at Panda Express is way easier, have medical care, 401k, dental, education, etc.

Working as a blue collar worker is like working for near minimum wage and nothing else. It's insane how little the hard or even highly educated work is worth so little to employers.

It just doesn't make sense.

His excuse has always been "oh I just wasn't gifted with what it takes to be a tradesman like my grandfathers" or some shit. The real answer is that he knows full well most blue collar jobs take up your whole life, force you to be away from home 18 hours a day, break your body by 35 and are looked down on by society as the painful, unpleasant ways to make a living they are.

Little ?
I'm sure tradesmen are earning so little that they can spend +100k USD on Ram 2500/f-250 trucks

I can get a job right now working as a “lead glazier” making $14.50/hr, doing 50-60 hours a week, with 1.5x overtime any hours over 40, but I’d rather just keep running my logistics company even though expenses are WAY up, brokers/shippers are pushing rates WAY down, and certain parts of the country are seeing freight dry up.
Basically, things suck either way, but at least I’m my own boss and can fuck off whenever I feel like it.

>goes through over a hundred aprentices in a single year
>its all their fault and could not possibly be my fault.

Well boomer faggot, why do you bid on jobs 100+ miles away and tell your minions to drive their own rigs?
I left the trades for maintenance, fuck travel and fuck you greedy faggots at the top.

Howdy (:

#8. Read it. The workers were unhappy. Instead of working the shit job and complaining, they left.
This is after all what you want, stop your whining about unfulfilled jobs.

same shit for regular fucking retail possitions.
i whent from being able to put in 10 apps and get 10 calls to putting in a hundred and getting ghosted. wtf is happening?

What's in it for me, m8? I'm paid more in an office, and if the office BS rubs me the wrong way, well, I'm still getting health insurance and a 401k match.

>14.50 as a lead glazer
mfw i made that walking in the door at walmart...

I'm working as a tradie right now. I make $20/hour with no benefits. I have an aas degree and multiple other certs. it's a high skill job where someone could conceivably die if I fuck up. I saw an ad the other day offering $17/hour with healthcare for stocking shelves overnight at a grocery store. maybe other trades or unionniggers are doing better, but at least in my field wages are not keeping up.

Don't forget one of their absolute classics:
>given address in job posting is closeby
>turns out to be the office
>"Actually user, you'll be working out of our shop 40 miles away and only accessible by dirt road which is unusable any time it rains."

They probably get more money to borrow if it looks like they’re expanding on paper, when in reality they’re floundering

>certified welder

I need 120 an hour to destroy my body or I AIN'T doing it. Fuck this "culture" too...most government contractors required vax....I'm out
Enjoying watching the world burn though

How long ago was that?

Has Mike Rowe ever actually worked a blue collar job?

I’d rather sit in my room and make more money and write code. Thanks, though.

More like slavery pledge lmao
