Work is still unfulfilling and I get to work from home and do next to nothing all day while getting paid a lot.
All I want to do is raise my kids on land, grow food, fish, homeschool, sell produce at the farmers market, and build wooden furniture.

Because in a lot of the country taxes and other expenses have reached a point where most unskilled jobs don't make economic sense. You can't live in fagachusetts or commifornia for example by flipping burgers at mickey d's. Ran into a guy I know who gets almost 1700 dollars benefits for doing absolutely nothing all day but smoking weed and watching movies. He said he'd work if he could get a job paying £400 a week (about 500 dollars) because any lower and he'd better off on benefits.
That's probably not a lot of money to Americans but here in the shithole UK he has that money on top of having his rent paid for free from the government.
I have a couple thousand saved. I work part-time and it suits me well but if I could get 400 quid a week tax-free for doing fuck all I'd jump at it.
