A couple of months ago, I was just like you. A red-blooded, God-fearing American. I love country music and Trump and NASCAR and I don’t much care for them liberal educated elite types.
But after the tragedies in Buffalo and Uvalde, I now support common sense gun reforms and I realize there is no reason any American should own a weapon of war. I turned in my assault rifles last week, and I urge anyone else who possesses these killing machines to do the same. Look inside your heart, let your conscience speak to you, and do the right thing.
This hit home. I've been struggling with this myself as white christian gun owner. We have to set the example that we want to see in the world and the only to stop the violence is to disarm.
